Profile:

The successful candidate will have a passion for data, data migration, and enabling companies to more effectively operate their businesses through the use of data tools, together with the implementation of leading business practices, and will seek to serve customers as a trusted advisor. The candidate will also work to grow the SaaSCG Salesforce Data Practice through training and documentation of best practices, and continued review and growth of our Data toolsets and offerings.

 

Role Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems or other related disciplines, or equivalent experience

At least 5 years of experience with database enterprise applications

At least 3 years of data migration experience

At least 2 years of migrating into Salesforce (CPQ, Sales, Service, KB)

Deep understanding of end-to-end data processes and best practices

Ability to design and implement technical data solutions to complex business requirements

Exceptional communication skills

 

Essential Duties:

Implement Data for customers through the SaaSCG data migration process:

  • Leading client Discovery sessions to establish data implementation project objectives and scope
  • Spearheading creation of data migration and deployment plans
  • Establishing and overseeing best practices to build a strong foundation before and during initial rollout
  • Developing T-SQL scripts and test cases
  • Leveraging ETL tools to migrate data to Salesforce
  • Configuring best practices in a Data tool and Salesforce.com to address requirements
  • Communicating effectively with cross-functional team members and clients
  • Project administration, including hours tracking, requirements documentation, testing documentation, source code repository protocols, and other related activities
  • Supporting business requirements gathering and process mapping sessions

Assist with development of a growth path for Data consultants through:

  • Documentation of best practices, training programs, and individual reviews of Data skills
  • Code review of Data consultants’ design and implementations
  • Mentorship for Junior Data Consultants to aid them in developing their skills and capabilities

Contribute to improvement of Data toolset offerings by providing feedback and suggestions for improvement, and assist in development of new features and functionality:

  • Review and grow Data toolset offerings
  • Work on our data migration process
  • Research Salesforce 3rd party apps (e.g., deduplication) to ensure proper fit
  • Research AI, BI, and warehouse tools to create new SaaSCG data product offerings

 

Work Hours, Availability and Responsiveness:

  • Regular SaaSCG business hours are 9 am to 6 pm CST, unless a customer engagement establishes different working hours.
  • Attendance/participation in daily stand up is a critical part of our business – availability (or lack thereof) must be clearly communicated in advance
  • At all times, Supervisors must be made aware of work schedules, work locations, personal time off (“PTO”), etc., and PTO must be approved in advance and may be subject to limitations depending on customer projects and key milestones/delivery dates
  • Unless on approved PTO, all emails and phone calls must be responded to within one (1) business day, but preferably, by end of the same business day

 

Working Environment/Special Demands:

  • Combination of in-office work and remote/home-based work
  • Extended periods of time interfacing with a computer
  • Extended periods of time sitting
  • Open office environment where background noise is common, including phone calls, ancillary conversations, traffic, etc.
  • Project based travel to customer sites for kickoff sessions, user acceptance events, go-live events, etc.  Travel is estimated to be 20% to 25% of total hours worked over a period of time.
